With 195 countries spread across our blue rock, narrowing down a list of the most beautiful cities in the world was a monumental challenge.

Luckily, I wasn’t alone. I gathered some of the most well-traveled people on the planet in my quest to find the world’s best cities.

And here are the top 38!

Each entry is not only a feast for the eyes, but offers something exciting from cultural insights to risky adventures. Ok, enough descriptive words.

OIA, SANTORINI (GREECE)

Arguably one of the most famous places to visit in the world, Santorini has earned a reputation for its unique romantic atmosphere. This gorgeous Cycladic island stands in the center of the Aegean sea. And is home to a few beautiful towns made of whitewashed landscapes, blue domes, and colorful alleys.

If you’re planning a visit, plan your Santorini itinerary according to the season in which you visit, the length of your stay, and the things you would like to see. The island offers things to do for everyone. From archaeological sites, exclusive shopping, and culinary experiences.

First of all, visit the beautiful city of Fira. The vibrant capital of the island is perched on top of a cliff facing the caldera, the center of Santorini’s volcano. In Fira, it’s possible to explore the archaeological museum, the cathedral, and some of the most exclusive art galleries of Greece.

However, if you want to discover the breathtaking scenarios of the island, those fantastic pictures of Santorini that you’ve seen repeatedly, move north and visit the village of Oia (pronounced /Ía/).

Oia is an enchanting, small village that will certainly captivate you. It boasts the island’s traditional architecture, cobblestone alleys, and staircases leading down to the sea.

If you’re planning to splurge, book a night in one of the exclusive hotels facing the sea, most of them have been built in former caves or carved into the rusty-colored clifftop. In many of them, you can even enjoy a private infinity pool inside your own suite!

In the afternoon, after witnessing the sunset on top of the old castle of Oia, hike down to the sea and head to the tiny port of Ammoudi. This is the best spot to enjoy fresh seafood dishes paired with a glass of the local Assyrtiko, Santorini’s favorite white grape.

HAVANA, CUBA

We instantly fell in love with Havana the moment we arrived. The architecture of times gone by, some restored some run-down, was unlike anything we had seen.

Around every corner was something new, something that made you stop and grab the camera. We wandered every part of Havana Viejo, and every day, we discover more breathtaking sights.

There are many great excursions, tours, and experiences in Havana. But to get your bearings to make sure you take the hop on hop off bus tour, it leaves from the Parque Central opposite Hotel Inglaterra. This gives you a great introduction to the city and visits a range of important sites and attractions. For $10 USD, you can’t go wrong.

Otherwise, opt for a walking tour, it’s amazing to learn about this city, its rich history and its people from a local.

Visiting Havana is what traveling was like before the Internet. Don’t get me wrong there are places you can go to get online if you are desperate. But this city, this country, reminded us how travel used to be. It’s where you connect with locals, other travelers, and sit around sharing stories and swapping information.

We also spent quality time as a family, and we had the chance to show our kids how we traveled when we first started our adventures. Something we thought would never happen.

DUBLIN, IRELAND

Great shops, pubs, and museums, Dublin is not only my second-favorite city in Europe (sorry, I’m an Amsterdammer!) but also a gem in the Emerald Isle.

There is so much happening in the largest city in Ireland that it is challenging to keep up.

While the colorful storefronts and doors of the city give Dublin a playful touch, the legends and tales fill the pubs with lively songs.

There is no better place to enjoy a cold pint of Guinness.

Unsurprisingly, the city is jam-packed with unique pubs from North City down to Portobello (which is one of the best places to stay in Dublin!). So don’t be shy and explore the streets of this mesmerizing city.

Wander outside the Temple Bar District to see the beauty of Dublin, and to experience it like a local.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Sydney would win hands down for one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Of course, we are biased; it is our hometown.

What makes it beautiful? The Sydney Harbour with its harbour beaches and million-dollar waterfront properties and, of course, our two icons – the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Sydney offers the visitor so many things to do and see.

You can climb the Harbour Bridge, take a ferry across the harbour to one of the most scenic Zoos in the world, or enjoy strolling the Rocks area where the first settlers arrived. We can also highly recommend taking a ferry across the harbour to Manly and enjoy the walk to Shelly Beach – you will feel as if you are walking along the coastline of Sorrento or Portofino in Italy.

Head to Bondi Beach, one of Sydney’s famous beaches to cool down or dine in one of the many restaurants there.

We have world-class cuisine from all parts of the world. You can dine in many of our famous restaurants or enjoy local cuisine whilst cruising the harbour.

When is the best time to visit Sydney? Sydney is a year-round destination with a mild climate, although summer temperatures can reach the high 30s. The busy tourist season is during the months of December and January when accommodation costs can skyrocket, especially on New Year’s Eve.

INTERLAKEN, SWITZERLAND

Tucked between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, at the foot of towering alps, is the town of Interlaken, Switzerland. It’s picturesque, quaint, and the gateway to so many mountain towns and activities.

Take a stroll from the Interlaken West train station to the Interlaken Ost (East) station and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Follow along the Aare River or one of the main streets in town, Höheweg, which passes by the famous Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa.

Choose a boat ride on Lake Brienz that will glide you past snow-capped mountains and Swiss chalets. Disembark at Giessbach See, and board a gondola up to the cascading Giessbach Falls.

Bruges’ medieval setting forms the decor for one of Europe’s most romantic cities. The heart of the old city comprises historic squares. Each fringed with stepped-gable houses and enchanting bridges that cross the iconic canals.

Take in the postcard views over Markt from atop the Bruges Belfry before sinking your teeth in a sumptuous Belgian waffle. Explore the cobbled streets to the clip-clopping of the horses’ hooves. Marvel at some magnificent sights such as the Basilica of the Holy Blood and the Rozenhoedkaai before discovering the city’s hidden cafés.

See Bruges from the water during a canal tour and meet the resident swans at Minnewater. Before heading home, load up on some heart-warming Belgian chocolate. If Bruges happens to be a tad bit too touristy for your taste, then head to that other Belgian gem called Ghent.

PARIS, FRANCE

It is impossible to talk about the most beautiful cities, nah the most beautiful places in the world and not include Paris. The City of Lights sparkles brightly. With its charming cobblestone streets and 18th-century architecture, Paris simply exudes an old-world charm.

Beyond the art on the streets, Paris is home to many world-class museums, including the Louvre and Musée d’Orsay. There are over 130 museums in Paris; even the locals do not have time to visit them all.

There are also several glorious chateaux around Paris, such as the Château de Versailles, Château de Fontainebleau, and Château de Chantilly that will transport you to another era. You don’t see Palaces like these constructed nowadays.

If you enjoy shopping, Paris has several Grand Magasins (grand shops), such as Galerie Lafayette and Bon Marché. Even if you don’t enjoy something, it is still interesting to stroll through its aisles and marvel at their luxury gift offerings.

In the evenings, with its many eclectic bars and restaurants, everyone will find something to their taste. Whether it is Michelin star restaurant, a cozy rooftop bar, or a tiny hidden brasserie on a quiet street, there is something for everyone.

Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen has a lot to offer. Travelers flock to the city, and for good reason. The entire place is beautiful. From the gorgeous streets to the hip bars, trendy restaurants, colorful buildings, and stunning parks it can be hard to choose where to go first.

Yes, Copenhagen is a amazing city. But it isn’t really so much of capital as it is a small town, like any other. It has the same shops and cafes and restaurants you’d find anywhere else.

Where its real beauty lies, is all outdoors. The city is ringed by countless green spaces, many of which are free to visit and explore. The few that aren’t are worth every penny of the fee to get in (i.e.; The Botanical Garden). You’ll find everything from grassy fields to dense forests to flower gardens.

Nyhaven is a wonderful neighborhood on Copenhagen’s harbor, where you will find tons of cool bars, colorful buildings, restaurants and cafes. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Copenhagen and has been protected from major developments.

As a result, you will be surrounded by historical houses and buildings that will tell you a lot about the history of the city. One historic building is the former home of Hans Christan Anderson. VIENNA, AUSTRIA

With some of Europe’s most stunning architecture and world-famous sights, Vienna, the capital of Austria, is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

The cosmopolitan city has much to offer, especially if you enjoy music and arts. Whether you are making a quick weekend trip or spending a whole week in the city, you’ll be sure to fill your time in Vienna with plenty of activities. If you want to get a glimpse of Austrian culture outside of its capital city, there are plenty of day trip opportunities from Vienna.

With its magnificent Baroque buildings, history, and culture. Vienna offers seemingly endless things to do and see. The city has countless events and festivals, excellent nightlife. The public transport system in Vienna includes several metro lines, tramways, buses, and trains. This network covers all parts of the city and makes it very easy to get anywhere in this Central European hub. After exploring all the Vienna has to offer head over to Innsbruck. Innsbruk is a great city to explore with kids, or solo.

CANTERBURY, ENGLAND

A one-hour train journey from London will take you to the beautifully preserved medieval city of Canterbury in Kent. Taking a day trip to Canterbury is the perfect way to escape London for the day and immerse yourself in some fascinating English history. Canterbury’s picturesque streets are lined with Tudor-style buildings and beautiful canals. It also happens to be home to some of England’s oldest churches.

One of the most popular things to do there is to take a scenic boat cruise along the canals. Floating along the ancient canals of Canterbury in a traditional punting style is a great way to get a unique perspective of the city while learning some of its history from a guide.

Another must on your day trip itinerary is a visit to the famous Canterbury Cathedral. Its history extends back to the year 597, making it one of the oldest and most visited cathedrals in the country. This doesn’t come as a surprise once you enter and see its impressive interiors.

Saint Petersburg, Russia is a beautiful place, and although it’s not the most popular tourist destination it definitely should be. It is one of the biggest cities in Russia and lies on the Neva River.

KOTOR, MONTENEGRO

Kotor, Montenegro, is one of the most beautiful city that you can find in Europe. Located at the end of the fjord and surrounded by high mountains, the town managed to keep its charm of the Adriatic town with a long and interesting history. Kotor Old Town might be small, but it’s packed with monuments: churches, old palaces, winding lanes, and charming corners.

But the biggest attraction of Kotor is St. John’s fortress above the town. Walking up the fortification is exhausting but worth all the efforts – the views from there are one of the most beautiful you will ever see! The best time to visit Kotor is in early spring or late autumn when the weather is still good, but the city isn’t too busy with big cruise ships.

Further down the Bay of Kotor, don’t miss Perast – a small but lovely town known mostly for the little church on the island. A quick boat trip, there offers even more spectacular views of Kotor Bay and the surrounding mountains!

Queenstown, New Zealand

Surrounded by verdant forest, snowy peaks, and a tranquil lake, Queenstown’s a beautiful city unlike any other. Even after eight months in Queenstown, I never grew tired of it – the same as when I spent a month in Spain. Each morning, I would wake up, walk out onto my balcony, breathe in the fresh mountain air, take in the scenery and think, “Queenstown is epic.”

The beauty only part of the city’s charm. Queenstown’s often hailed as the adventure capital of the world. It’s also the birthplace of the bungee jump. As well as canyon swings, adventure boating, zip lines, hikes, para-gliding, and three different bungee jumps.

From here, you’ll have a gorgeous panorama view over several districts of Amman. The Temple of Hercules is the most eye-catching sight and will leave you speechless for sure. From here, you can head out to explore other historical sites such as a Byzantine church and an Umayyad mosque. All of them only a 5 minutes walk away.

Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town is an urban city on the Atlantic coast of southern Africa surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Cape Town has a Mediterranean climate with sunny days (and some rain) year-round and sandy beaches.

But let’s not forget that the soaring mountains that surround Cape Town are a major reason why it is on this list.

The city is a major global tourist destination, attracting visitors from across the world, especially from EU, but increasingly from China and North America.

The city’s architecture is defined by its Dutch colonial heritage, as noted by Dutch-style buildings and windmills. Both the historic Waterfront and the modern Central Business District are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

RIGA, LATVIA

One of the most beautiful cities in the world is Riga. A city that has many faces because of invasions making it a highlight of the Baltics. There are also the top things to do in Estonia.. Throughout history, the Germans, the Swedish, and the Russians have contributed architecture to the city.

Many of which showcase certain periods. Latvia claimed independence in 1991. So it is here that certain parts of the city. In the historic Old Town visitors can see buildings that echo the past from Swedish, Soviet and German times.

The House of Blackheads is the best thing to see in Riga. And visiting the Riga Doms (cathedral) and getting lost in the many cobbled streets. The Old Towns filled with many amazing restaurants and bars.

Riga is also a great base to explore the nearby Gauja National Park with its Folk Song Park and, in the summer months, the beaches of Jurmala. It’s a stunning park National Parks in Utah. Latvia started using the Euro currency and is one of the cheapest places to visit in Eastern Europe.

Riga for me is a perfect destination to explore, eat, drink and get merry. Don’t forget to try the Balzams, Latvians will love you even more.

PORTO, PORTUGAL

Stunning Porto, Portugal’s second-largest city, is home to picturesque plazas and maze-like narrow streets sloping down to the green Douro River. This gorgeous city’s cobblestoned charm has made it a popular destination for city-break tourists.

Porto’s historic Ribeira District is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most photogenic part of the city. The city is famed for its churches and public buildings richly decorated in emblematic blue and white azulejo tiles. Must-sees include the lavish Church of São Francisco, the Stock Exchange Palace, and the São Bento Train Station.

Porto’s steep hills offer many extraordinary viewpoints of the Douro River, including from the imposing gothic cathedral, perched on one of the city’s highest points.

ORADEA, ROMANIA

Oradea – the capital city of Bihor county – is located in north-west Romania, close to the border of Hungary. Th city’s split in half via the Crișul Repede River. And it’s well known for its stunning art nouveau and baroque architecture.

Oradea’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It’s an architectural wonder and one that has been regaining its beautiful shine.

Because it’s not a very big city, Oradea’s an ideal weekend destination. It’s easily reached by car, train, and airplane (It has its own airport). And it’s close to four other different airports in the area (Timișoara, Arad, Cluj, and Debrecen.

Some main attractions in the city are Union Square and the Black Eagle Palace, which are built in the same style as the famous Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery in Milano. This is one of the most representative buildings in Romania designed in the Secession architectural style.

Crossing the river from Union Square, head down Republicii Street. Here take a second to admire the array of palaces built in both Art Nouveau and Baroque styles, each one more colorful than the other.

Oradea has a variety of thermal baths and spas to enjoy. The city has a lot of outdoor activities like rafting on the Crișul Repede river, trekking around Via Ferrata and even photoshoots in lavender fields. There are plenty of reasons to add Oradea to your 2020 travel list.

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS

Growing up in one of the globe’s most famous cities, London, I honestly don’t think there are many prettier cities in the world than the beautiful city of Amsterdam. People often say that walking around Amsterdam’s canals is like walking around a museum. A museum that goes on for miles and miles. And even though I’ve lived here for over six years, I still understand what they mean. I definitely don’t take those rows of grand canal houses, cobbled streets, and curved bridges all lit up at night, and for granted.

But as a resident, I also know that there is much more to Amsterdam’s beauty than those canals. There’s the villagey feel of Jordaan’s narrow streets.

As well as the wide-open green spaces of the city’s many parks. And the open sky and water of the city’s urban beaches. Finally, the wow-factor of gravity defining architecture in Amsterdam’s newest neighborhoods.

In short, plan a trip to Amsterdam for those classic old canals that are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but stay for the rest of the city, which will surprise you with its variety and yes, more beauty!

Prague is one of those cities that has it all. It’s beautiful, historical and surprisingly, affordable. Being one of the most popular travel destinations in Europe, it’s certainly not a surprise why!

Prague is known for its historical architecture, the religious architecture of its cathedrals and churches, and its medieval city center. Prague is a modern city with a diverse population, a growing economy, and a rich cultural life.

This city has now become one of the most popular cities for tourists to visit.

With a long history, Prague has grown to be a diverse city that welcomes tourists from all across the globe with open arms.

The city offers a lot to explore and here are some of the things you should not miss out on when in Prague. My personal favorite is Old Town Square.

Venice, Italy

Venice is a city in northeastern Italy that is renowned for its beauty and its architecture. It lies on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges, of which there are about 400. This European City in its entirety is listed as a World Heritage Site.

Venice has a rich and storied past. From its humble beginnings as a small fishing town in the 5th century to its heyday as a formidable power in the 15th century to its current status as a city of canals, gondolas, and romance, Venice has stood the test of time. And while it is one of the most visited cities in Europe, it’s also the prettiest city in Italy.

But if Venice seems too much like a tourist attraction for you, and you would rather get into nature than head to the nearby soaring mountains of the Dolomites.

LONDON, ENGLAND

Who was it that said, “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life, for there is in London all that life can afford“? It was Samuel Johnson, author of the first-ever dictionary (although the quote is frequently and mistakenly, attributed to Oscar Wilde). Whoever said it, they were right.

Gay Pari may be the city of lights, one of the best nicknames for Paris,the cultural mecca that is NYC may be the city that never sleeps, but London is oh!…so…special, with enough to keep everyone awake.

London has it all, a history that dates back millennia and a trendsetting culture that makes its mark across the world from China to Canada, Australia to Argentina.

London is beautiful from the London eye as you look at the expanse of the Thames River winding its way through the ancient city. It is a magnificent mosaic of multiculturalism that gives the city its diversity in people, food, and ideas. It is beautiful at night in the flashing neon lights of the West End, Leicester Square, and Piccadilly Circus. And it is lovely in the early morning sunlight reflecting on the windows of Westminster.

But London’s main beauty is in its soul. A welcoming, tolerant city that prospered throughout its history because it embraced the world rather than turn its back on it.

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY​

Budapest is the capital of Hungary and one beautiful European City.

A walk down the pedestrian shopping street Vaci Utca will have you be amazed by the variety of shops selling traditional leather goods and souvenirs.

When visiting this colorful city, there is an abundance of things to see and do. The opera house is a must-see with its incredible architecture and acoustics. While seeing a show is out of most traveler’s budget, you can still enter the building to admire the inside and take some pictures.

The Hungarian National Museum is filled with relics dating back to the 4th century BC. The museum displays ancient pottery, paintings, statues, jewelry, and sculptures that will give you a real insight into the history of Hungary.

Given that Budapest is built on a rocky hillside overlooking the Danube River, it is a good idea to experience all parts of the city. Take a trip across to Buda where you will find the majestic Parliament Building with a domed roof in the main square.

When exploring, don’t miss the Fisherman’s Bastion which is located on Castle Hill in Buda. The view overlooking the river is worth getting up early for. It is also well worth visiting Castle Hill which contains museums, art galleries, souvenir shops, and cafes where you can relax after a two-hour climb up from Pest.

Budapest may be known as a party hub for Europeans, but it’s also an amazing mix of culture, history, attractions, and shopping.

BOQUETE, PANAMA

Lush. That is the perfect word to describe this city covered by thick forest. Most known for the stunning trails, Boquete has the best hiking in Panama.

You’ll have many options, though one not-to-be-missed is the Lost Waterfalls Trail, which takes you through thick jungle and over giant forest staircases, introducing you along the way to three gorgeous waterfalls. After hiking, head into town for a delicious farm-to-fork meal at Colibri Restaurant. Yum

Los Angeles is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, but did you know that it’s also one of the most beautiful cities?

The city has an amazing climate due to its location. Los Angeles is a major center for business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, technology, and education. The city also has its own personality that will quickly distinguish it from others.

Proudly said, Los Angeles is also called “the city of dreams”, which is very true as it offers a lot of things to see and do.

Los Angeles is the second biggest city in America. It has a very diverse population and is an economic and cultural hub. The city has many attractions including Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Universal Studios just to name a few. There are also a great number of hiking trails in the San Gabriel Mountains.

SEATTLE, USA

Seattle may be best known for rainy days, but it is really a beautiful city. Set on the waterfront, with the Olympic Mountains range as a backdrop, few big cities in the world can boast such a pretty setting. Because of the rain, there are plenty of beautiful green parks and trees throughout the city.

Spend your time in Seattle, exploring the waterfront, pike market, and the Seattle Center. Take a canal tour to get to know the waterways and the city from a different viewpoint. Views of the space needle lit up at night also add to the city’s charm. If you get caught in the rain, there are also quite a few interesting museums to pop into.

When you are finished with city life, Seattle is also a great base from which to explore Mount Rainier. Hike through tall trees, discover snow-capped mountains, beautiful lakes, and meadows filled with wildflowers.

See if you can spot any of the plethoras of wildlife that live there! Another particular highlight of visiting Seattle is taking a whale watching tour where you can see Orcas in their native environment as well as other fantastic ocean life.

GYEONGJU, SOUTH KOREA

The museum without walls; Gyeongju is the ancient capital of the Silla Dynasty in Korea. One of the prettiest city, it’s filled with parks, historic sites, and grand temples. It’s a superb place to go for young couples who are looking for a romantic getaway.

Or a group of friends, a family, or solo travelers are going to South Korea. In downtown Gyeongju, you’ll find everything within walking distance. This becomes of the most beautiful cities in the world during the cherry blossom season: every April or the autumn foliage towards the end of October (especially, with thebest quotes about October).

The best things to do in Gyeongju are visiting the stunning Tumuli Park, Cheomseongdae Observatory, and its surrounding park, Anpji Pond and Bulguksa Temple.

QUEBEC CITY, CANADA

Just about two hours west of the Maine border lies a quaint city that will make you feel like you made the trek across the pond to Europe.

French is the main language spoken in Quebec City but English is spoken as well so no worries if the only French you know consists of “Merci.” Quebec City, without a doubt, is one of the most charming and beautiful cities from its old-world charm to its modern flair.

You will feel like you have stepped back in time when you set foot along the cobblestone street of Quartier Petit Champlain.

This is a great place to visit antique shops, boutique stores, and bistros. When you are ready to leave and head to the upper town, take the Funicular which will drop you off at Dufferin Terrace right near the Chateau de Frontenac.

Visit Place-Royale to see true French architecture and the oldest stone church in North America, Notre Dame des Victoires.

Stop for some coffee and a bite to eat at La Maison Smith and tour the shops around the square. If you have time, stop for a drink at Pub de L’Oncle Antoine, a 17th century brick cellar that is the oldest pub in Quebec City.

If you love Christmas, there is no better place to be than right in the heart of Old Quebec City. A traditional German Christmas Market, Marche de Noel, is set upright in the heart of Old Quebec and features over 90 local exhibitors with homemade trinkets and tasty treats like mulled wine and traditional German cakes. Did you know that New York also have a German Christmas Market, making it one of the best Christmas towns in the USA.

You can also grab a cup of hot chocolate and warm up near one of the firepits situated around the market.

San Francisco , USA

San Francisco is arguably the most beautiful city in the world, so it’s not surprising that it tops many travelers’ wish lists. The Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay are what initially draw most people to the city by the bay. But now there are a lot of famous San Francisco Landmarks..

OCHO RIOS, JAMAICA

This city in Jamaica is famed for its beautiful waterfalls nestled in off beaten paths, the most famous being Dunn’s River, crystal clear waters, mesmerizing coral reefs, and the most stunning sunsets in the Caribbean.

And its chic all-inclusive 5-star resort, Ocho Rios, is filled with fun activities for all types of travelers.

Whether you’re an adrenaline traveler looking to go sailing through rainforest canopies on a bobsled, a water baby like me that loves to be out in the Caribbean Sea, which might be the main tourist attraction.

Or if you’re a nature lover who also loves to top up their tan, then a full-day catamaran cruise with a spot of snorkeling to see some of the most exotic fishes and coral reefs in the world. Might be at the top of the list of things to do in Ocho Rios, similar to the top things to do in Bogota Colombia.

The beaches nearby the beautiful city of Ocho Rios were also visited by the most famous spy in London, James Bond for the movie “Dr. No’. And remains a filming location for the James Bond franchise due to the pristine waters and lush surrounding countryside.

MYKONOS CITY, GREECE

Mykonos City’s known around the world as the city beloved by its reach and famous. And if you looked at a list of the Greek islands by popularity Mykonos would be in the top three. Sitting on the still waters of Greece lies this maze of stony alleyways that make up this whitewashed city. Along the coast are thatched windmills and seaside cafes.

The charming city is known for its relaxed atmosphere, blue-roofed buildings, and fresh seafood. But there’s also wild nightlife, and clubs found all over the island.

While you can stay here on a budget, when compared to the rest of Greece, Mykonos, while it is a beautiful city, isn’t budget-friendly. The white and blue-roofed houses, epic sunsets, and tiny streets make it one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is one of the world’s most beautiful cities, running from skyscrapers that scrape the sky to vivid green hills and peaceful blue waters on its doorstep. Its also the most densely populated place in the world, leading to a high-energy buzz that makes this island come alive.

The main city is centered around Victoria Harbour, where British colonial architecture still prevails but is being constantly transformed by new development. The skyline is home to some of the world’s best restaurants, plus over 100 shops and 30 galleries showcasing everything from Chinese porcelain to antiques and artwork.

Touring Hong Kong Island is a must, including the eye-catching Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront promenade, with the original Star Ferry pier and Hong Kong Space Museum. Thanks to the city’s high density of attractions, it’s easy to hit up a string of museums by day, then head to Lan Kwai Fong for a night of dancing and bar-hopping with the locals.

New York, United States

To call New York City beautiful is an understatement, it is not only famous for its skyscrapers or landmarks. The great American city has it all to offer. From its free spirit, extravagant lifestyle to the diversity of people visiting the Big Apple. To visit New York and not getting a chance to see all that this epic city has to offer is a shame.

Don’t forget the countless sites in this famous city holds, such as Central Park, Statue of Liberty – the most iconic landmark in New York -, or the Natural History Museum.
